Minimalist gifts for moms:
1. A really awesome planner
Planners are great minimalist gifts for moms because they are so practical. Minimalism doesn’t mean you can’t give mom something she will love. This gift is perfect because she can use it every single day for the next year!
The Living Well Spending Less planner is truly amazing!
I was skeptical at first. I mean, I had a digital calendar on my computer and a smartphone. Why on God’s green earth would I go back to 1995 and use pen and paper?!
Well, because it is awesome. I don’t know how else to describe it. There is something magical about writing down a task and then crossing it off as DONE!
The Living Well Spending Less Planner has something for everyone.
There are time slots for those that like to follow a schedule every day. However, you don’t have to use it that way. Some days I fill in all my appointments by time, other days, I just have a running list.
The absolute best part of the Living Well Spending Less planner? The goal setting pages where you set goals for the year and then month by month and even day by day.
I have never been so productive in my life since getting this planner. If the woman in your life has big goals, this is a big planner that can help deliver!
Other amazing planners: Erin Condren’s LifePlanner and Law of Attraction Daily Planner.
Don’t forget these useful stocking stuffers, erasable pens and erasable markers! You got that right. You can erase the ink with these pens! They are like magic. I love them.
2-New clothes or a clothing gift card
Once becoming a minimalist or even a quasi-minimalist, you often stop buying clothes for yourself unless you really need them.
When I buy clothes, they are usually very high-quality items that are timeless and will last me forever.
Gift cards for an expensive or specialty item I’ve been wanting from a store would make my day as a mom!
Some ideas of specialty items may be winter clothing or accessories, shoes, a nice purse or wallet, etc.
You don’t want to add to clutter, but it is nice to give a high-quality gift your minimalist mom may have not bought herself otherwise.
Got a tight budget? You can buy name brand clothes on Thredup ($10 coupon included), and they deliver! Many minimalist moms don’t mind high-quality second-hand goods.
3-A date night
Another fun idea for minimalist gifts for moms, date night! A fun date night will always do a mama good.
The problem is they can be soooo expensive. By the time you pay the babysitter, order a pizza for the kids, and head out for a night on the town, you are looking at a pretty expensive couple of hours with the one you love.
I love my husband, but I just can’t afford to drop that much money on a regular basis.
Give the minimalist mom in your life the gift of a night out. You can buy her an experience or send a dinner and a movie gift card.
Tight on funds? Offer to make dinner and line up a free babysitter with a friend or offer the services yourself so mom and dad can take a night out.

3 – Amazon kindle unlimited subscription
Is mom a book lover? Maybe she prefers to listen to books while commuting to work or while shuttling around town.
The Amazon Kindle Unlimited subscription only costs $9.99/month.
You can cancel it at any time, no contract. It also comes with a 30-day free trial. It is also a great ideas when it comes to minimalist gifts for moms because it doesn’t add to book clutter.
Give mom the gift of as many books as she can read or listen to, with no limits!
You also get access to tons of magazines. Help mom with book clutter, and give her something she can use anywhere, anytime, on any device. Kindle not required. However, if you want to get mom a Kindle, they are pretty sweet. 😊
4 – Digital photo frame
Another one of the practical minimalist gifts for moms, as a digital photo frame helps cut the clutter down in a home yet still allows mom to showcase all her favorite photos.
5 – Subscription boxes or services – MightyNest, eMeals, etc.
Mighty Nest – As I started to buy less for my home, I also started to explore a more zero-waste home. However, I had very limited ideas on where to start. Enter Mighty Nest.
You can sign up for their subscription service, and every month they will send you a box with new items to try to make your home more environmentally safe and healthier. I’m addicted to so many of their products now.
eMeals – eMeals is my absolute favorite meal planning service. You are delivered a customized meal plan to your inbox every week, you can link straight up to a grocery pick-up or delivery service, and the recipes are easy and kid-friendly.
The eMeals meal planning service has been an amazing resource for me as a busy, working mom since I signed up nearly ten years ago.

6 – Grocery Delivery
Sometimes, moms just want a break. Give her a break with an Instacart gift. If you have never tried grocery pick-up or grocery delivery, it is life-changing, especially for a busy mom.
Sneak in a Starbucks gift card while you are at it, and she can use that time she would have spent at the grocery store treating herself to something nice.
Amazon Fresh also offers grocery delivery. It is unlimited grocery delivery for $14.99/month. UNLIMITED!
I am addicted to Amazon, but this takes grocery delivery to a whole new level if you know a mom who needs a serious break.
You can even pair Amazon Fresh with eMeals! I may have died and gone to heaven with this combo!!
7- Barre online membership ($10 off coupon for subscription)
If mom is home during the day and the possibility of getting away to a gym is an unreasonable pipe dream, then consider giving a Barre online membership.
It is extra equipment optional, and it requires only a very small space in your living room. You can get her a cord that hooks up her phone to the tv (if you don’t have a smart tv) and boom, instant online gym!
Barre workouts are AMAZING. They are targeted at moms with limited space but who still want a kick-butt workout. It’s also not as crazy as some of the more intense Beach Body workouts you can stream online.
8 – Consumables delivered
Consumables make the perfect minimalist gifts. They are super appreciated, something most folks would never spend money on themselves and can be a nice indulgent treat.
9 –Coffee subscription
Mama always needs caffeine to keep her going! Give her the gift of really amazing coffee in a 3-month coffee subscription.
If mom prefers tea, you can also gift a tea sampler. Throw in a fun, new mug, and you have a pretty awesome minimalist gift for mom that doesn’t add to the clutter.

10 – Membership to a local attraction
If mom has the kids all day or is dying for something more to do with the kids on the weekends, memberships to local attractions are a must!
Don’t worry about giving mom a gift that the kids enjoy too. Going somewhere like the Children’s Museum or local zoo is a welcome break from a normal day!
11 – Journal with writing prompts or a bullet journal
Bullet journals are a new rage these past few years, and even if mom enjoys a minimalist bullet journal, there are a ton of options out there to help her get started.
Here is a highly recommended bullet journal with a fun cover and easy to set up intro pages. Throw in some fun pens, and mom is all set for a productive year!
Another idea is a journal with writing prompts. As a mother, I hope to do a good job passing down our story to our kids, but journals with writing prompts can help make that endeavor so much easier!
12 – Wine delivery
Need I say more?! You had me at “wine” and “delivery”.
13 – Amazon Prime membership
One of my favorite minimalist gifts for mom is an Amazon Prime membership.
If you can afford it, Amazon Prime comes with a hefty amount of benefits, including the famous two-day shipping promise on most goods.
You can get Amazon Prime TV and movies, Amazon Prime music, up to 10 magazine or book downloads from their Prime collection, and more.
I love Amazon Prime. As a minimalist mom, it helps cut down on the need for buying actual books, CDs, movies, etc. It comes with so much!!! This is one of my favorite minimalist gifts for moms!
14 – Car care membership
As a simple living mama, I hate to spend the money on washing my car. However, I absolutely love having a clean car. Living with kids makes that seem like an impossible, uphill task.
A car care membership can make this impossible task seem attainable!
15 – Minimalist and simple living books
A good book and one I can reference again and again or share with a friend is always a favorite on my list.
Here are some of my favorite minimalist books for moms who are looking to achieve a more clutter-free home or simpler way of living.
The More of Less by Joshua Becker
Stretched Too Thin by Jessica Turner

I like boxes too, but they could add to clutter if you don’t like all the things that come. If it is something like cleaning I could totally see that though! I tend to hoard cleaning supplies a little though. Great ideas though!!
