Ever dined in a dome? Check these out. Do you have any near you?
My favorite Norwegian phrase: “There is no bad weather, only bad clothes.” Getting outside when you hate being cold
Also, you are never, ever too old…

A note from Happy Simple Mom:
For 15 years, I worked in a cubicle. It was as joyful as you can envision. 🙂
I was always the oddball. I would eat my lunch many days at the odd picnic table stuck on the side of the hill, likely intended for the smokers.
I would pack my tennis shoes so I could replace my heels and take a walk around the block.
I held meetings with my team outside.
I was not meant for a cubicle. Working from home is so much better, as it allows me to get outside. My kids even know, if mama is cranky, send her outside!
Now, I try to spend several hours a day outside, whether it’s doing chores, working on my laptop, walking, reading a book, or simply taking a short cat nap on my back deck. Sunshine is a miracle for relaxation.
This past week, I had this one thing that kept coming up as a strong source of overwhelm. I realized I desperately needed to simplify the system surrounding it.
Simplify. It always comes back to that for me… “How can I simplify this so I no longer feel overwhelmed?”
I took a quick thirty minutes to walk outside (as that is my number one go-to activity when feeling stressed), and I started to think about what I could do to make that part of my life a little bit easier.
What could I cut? What could I delegate?
Thirty minutes later, my new systems weren’t in place yet, but I had some physical exercise, some sunshine, a clearer head, and a plan.

Brooke, Happy Simple Mom
