How to make Christmas special without going overboard
Need a Christmas morning recipe? This has been our go-to recipe for the past decade for monkey bread or cinnamon pull-apart bread. It’s soooo good.
A note from Happy Simple Mom:
Every once in a while, as I tuck in my girls, we will tell each other three “gratefuls”. It’s simple. We each tell each other three things we are grateful for from that day. A super easy practice of gratitude.
It’s not a practice we do nearly often enough, but I love it every single time we make time for it.
Holidays can be fast-paced and stressful for many. As you go about your last-minute shopping, preparing mile-long grocery lists, and baking the last of the cookies, take a moment and tell someone (or yourself) three “gratefuls” from today.
Taking the time to do this, amongst all the crazy, forces us to slow down, reflect on the wonderful moments in our day, and give thanks for them. Even on a really bad day, there’s often some glimmer of hope and kindness…recognize those moments.
Here at Happy Simple Mom, I’m grateful for you, dear reader. I’m grateful for the kind notes dropped to me throughout the year. I’m grateful for those who took a chance on me to declutter their homes and simplify their lives.
Every time I type these emails, I imagine you, on the other side. In my imagination we are often sitting at my kitchen table, sharing a cup of tea. We are friends, sharing our struggles and our solutions to overcome them in our pursuit of a happy, simple life.
Thank you for reading along!
I’ll speak with you after the Christmas holiday. We have an exciting couple of weeks of FREE CHALLENGES, free printables, and more. I can’t wait to see you on the other side!
Sincerely,
Brooke, Happy Simple Mom
