Amazon Prime Day is back! It is like Christmas in July.
Why Amazon Prime?
Seriously, I treat Amazon Prime Day like Christmas. Why? Because I’m a planner, and I love a good deal.
Part of living a simple, minimalist lifestyle is buying less stuff, so why on earth would I encourage you to go to Amazon today to buy more stuff?
Well, we all need stuff.
The thing with simple living is we need less stuff.
When I buy something, I like to buy higher quality stuff. I want to buy something once and it lasts me a very long time. I don’t want to waste my money on cheap, temporary items that will continue to be thrown into a landfill once they wear out.
Now is the time to get that needed stuff at a steal of a deal. Trust me.
I also like to organize, and organizing can get expensive real fast. If you have ever been in a big box store buying new organizing baskets or shelves, you see the dollar signs add up quick. Get ahead of the game and buy your organizing tools now, while they are on super sale.
If you are a planner, it is also a great time to buy birthday gifts and Christmas gifts that people will actually want, not just another Christmas throw blanket you find out of desperation the last week before the holiday!

What is Prime Day?
Amazon Prime Day is a HUGE once a year, crazy awesome deal finding day.
I love a good Black Friday and Cyber Monday to find the stuff I need at a good deal, and this puts it to shame.
You will find deals for everything you could possibly imagine (junk included). However, you will also find some amazing deals to get your home in order and make life a little simpler.
To enjoy Amazon Prime Day, you will need an Amazon Prime membership.
Don’t worry, if you don’t like it, you can cancel it before your free one-month trial ends.
For those of you seeking an easier, simpler life, Amazon Prime may be the answer for you. I LOVE it!
This year, Amazon Prime Day is for 2 whole days! That is 48 hours of shopping frenzy. I’m so excited!
In 2019, Prime Day is July 15-16. For two whole days, you can find a great deal on the stuff you will actually use.
(Ignore the lightning deals on things you don’t need. You can do it!)
Pro Tips for Amazon Prime Day:
Watch for Lightning Deals. You can see “Upcoming Deals” so you are ready for items you don’t want to miss.
Use the Waitlist. If something sells out, get on the waitlist. You never know!
Choose slow shipping. This is my favorite about Amazon Prime. I often don’t need an item in 2 days. If this is the case, I’ll select slow shipping. Amazon will often give you a $1 credit towards a Kindle book or money towards a Prime Pantry order.
Amazon Prime Day Deals for Home Organization:
The following items are on my watch list this year.
If you are interested in any of the items, I recommend going ahead and adding them to your cart now, so it is easier to grab them once they go on sale:
Rubbermaid Easy Find Containers – 60 pieces – SOLD OUT!
Closet Dividers – Super cool once you declutter your closet!
Craft Bag Organizer – Also good for a “fun bag” on long car trips with kids!
Bath Toy Storage – LOVE THESE!
Amazon Prime Deals for the Home:
OK, this is a luxury item. It was also one of the best Christmas presents we ever received. We even named “her”. Her name was “BB” (AKA Better than Brooke). 😊
Cooking with cast iron is awesome! No chemicals, and they last FOREVER!
Zero Waste / Reusable Items
Reusable Storage Bags – I LOVE THESE!!
Save money and be good to the environment with these reusable food storage bags.
Reusable Notebook – This thing is cool! Write with a “pen” and it loads to a cloud. Save paper!
Amazon Product Deals You Will Love:
Ditch cable and get the Amazon Fire Stick. It loads apps for different providers, like Amazon Prime Videos, Amazon Prime Music, Netflix, Hulu, News Apps and more.
Amazon’s version of a tablet, the Fire HD Tablet. It even has Alexa! I love this tablet, and you can get it for a fraction of the cost of other brands on the market with just as much deliverability.
I don’t believe in kids using a tablet all the time, but if you are going to get one, the Fire Tablet one to pick! It even comes in a kid proof case. I prefer using tablets with my kids when on long flights.
My new favorite way to “read”. I love getting a fantastic new book on Audible and listening to it while I clean house, walk the dog or commute.
Sometimes mama needs a break. Try out Amazon Fresh to have groceries delivered straight to your door, as often as you like. OMG, yes please.
Amazon Music – Available for a steal right now!
Do people still buy CDs? If you are one of them or if you are spending way too much on music downloads every month, consider switching to Amazon music. For a very small fee every month, you can get access to millions of songs!
